Inspired by the installation difficulties of mid-bass
loudspeakers in today’s vehicles, Rainbow has developed a
mid-bass loudspeaker for very narrow installation openings.
Of critical importance in the development of these
loudspeakers was a design allowing for the best use of the
mounting depth in order to achieve a reasonable and
acceptable Xmax to reproduce the mid-basses. This required
the development of a new magnet system technology, and
resulted in the incorporation of the extremely light,
high-energy neodymium magnet inside the loudspeaker.
The resulting loudspeaker has a total weight of 250g, a
mounting depth of only 43 mm, and an Xmax of +/- 6 mm. It is
currently the best alternative available for these
installation conditions. In spite of the small magnet
inside, the loudspeaker has a sensitivity of 90 dB 1W/1m.
The loudspeaker fits perfectly in the Seat Alhambra, Seat
Cordoba, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia, Skoda Oktavia, VW Sharan
and many more autos.
The X-Plain Woofer integrated into a 2-way component system
and synchronized with a vehicle-specific crossover, together
with a 25 mm fabric neodymium tweeter gives you the high
quality system CS 265 X-Plain, which was previously not an
option for these vehicles.
